BUTYL LAYER - IN PLACE OF THE CONVENTIONAL INNER TUBE THERE IS AN AIRTIGHT BUTYL-RUBBER LAYER WITH A SOLID BOND TO THE CARCASS, THIS ELIMINATES THE FRICTION BETWEEN THE TUBE AND THE CARCASS, A MAJOR FACTOR IN LOWERING ROLLING RESISTANCE. THE BUTYL LAYER HAS LOWER AIR PERMIABILITY THAN LATEX SO PRESSURE IS RETAINED FOR LONGER. |

PUNCTURE REPAIR - PUNCTURES ARE REPAIRED USING A HIGHLY EFFECTIVE SPECIAL SEALANT. IT CAN BE USED AFTER GETTING A FLAT, WHEN IT SEALS PUNCTURES UP TO 2 MM IN DIAMETER. ALTERNATIVELY IT CAN BE USED PREVENTATIVELY, IF A PUNCTURE OCCURS THE SEALANT SEALS THE HOLE, MOST OFTEN WITH MINIMAL AIR LOSS, ENABLING THE RIDER TO COMPLETE THE EVENT/RIDE. APPLICATION OF THE SEALANT IS ACHIEVED THROUGH THE VALVE OPENING. |
